What does the client do

Castle Oak Group is a large construction site company, working in close partnership with a local supply of chain partners. By using local expertise and knowledge, the Castle Oak group is known for being able to carry out a qualitative accomplished product.

Location of their project

The Construction site was located in the Weston Super Mare area.

Types of security provided

Allied Guarding are specialised in construction security, so were able to provide experienced and quality security guards to regularly patrol the site. As well as this, Allied Guarding introduced Castle Oak construction to our Sean security system. This was a way of the construction company monitoring the patrols of the security guards. Our guards throughout the allocated time of guarding had to walk around the construction site passing check points as they did so, which would be recorded within the Sean security system. These records detailing what time each checkpoint was passed and how often can then be seen through a private account belonging to Castle Oak. This is a feature offered by Allied Guarding to ensure our clients receive the best possible service available. For Castle Oak Construction we provided them with two guards assigned to the hours of darkness, and 24hr patrols for the weekend.

To Protect

The Security Guards were there to protect both machinery and materials belonging to the construction site, as well as the diesel from the machines on site.

What did the client require from us

Castle Oak construction requested that our guards keep a look out for any outside interference and unauthorised entry by thieves and people wishing to vandalise the equipment. The guards were also used as a visual deterrent to on looking thieves and vandals. As well as this Castle Oak requested a report of the guard’s work, which we provided them through the Sean Security System. Various CCTV (closed circuit television) camera stations were put up being used as a visual deterrent to unauthorised entries, and if a theft were to be made, this would prove useful in tracking the thief and returning the stolen goods.

Previous Problems

In previous years Castle Oak construction had experienced a loss of equipment because of thieves, theft of diesel, and damaged equipment due to vandalism. Theft of equipment was a large issue because in previous years they had found that some stolen equipment although was easy to get hold of and return over time, was not always replaced as quickly, which meant the work flow was delayed and the overall building process took longer than intended. Castle Oak had in previous years opted to use just a CCTV security for site protection, which proved only a slight deterrent for thieves and vandals.

How were these corrected?

Since using Security guards however Castle Oak has been happy with the result of huge decreases, with no incidents of theft and vandalism being recorded. We are sure to be working with them again in the future.
